17Kendo Basics II: Tsugi ashi
--------------------------------
.. raw:: html
#. Left foot move first. In other words, back foot moves first, front foot goes next.
#. Usually, front foot moves first in kendo.
#. Just gain move distance.
#. The extra distance makes a huge difference.
#. It has a disadvantage. When you move your left foot, you may get hit. Because it is difficult to response when the left leg (the power leg) is moving.
#. When the left foot passes the right foot, it becomes, ayumi-ashi.

Tip of the Week - Fumikomi
--------------------------------
.. raw:: html
#. 'fumikomi' = 'stamp strike'.
#. Should not lift the right leg too high
#. kendo is trying to move forward instead of upward.
#. Imagine an plane (stealth fighter) flying in a low height to avoid the radar detection.
#. The stamping is generated from the left leg as shown in 02:47
#. If you lean forward, it means you cut by the upper body and you cannot achieve Ki Ken Tai Ichi (気剣体一).
**An intersting exercise**
#. Your partner hold you.
#. get attention to your lower body.
#. Relax your upper body
#. Imagine your right foot is a stealth fighter hiding the ground
#. Put pressure on the left leg.
#. Feel the tension on your lower abdomen

教此孩子的三段VIDEO很正確
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
For the first video, imagine there is a person holding you from the back.
For the second video, it is same as what sumi sensai covered in the first video. The kicking hakama is not that obvious.
For the third video, the left leg of this child seems not that straight.
並不是全懂如斯清楚去教,故差了一點。
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
.. raw:: html
#. Start at a fixed line.
#. Hit the sensai's shinai.
#. They jump at very relax manner as shown in 01:25.
此段沒上身,美中不足。
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
.. raw:: html
#. Must not stamp with your heel. Must stamp with your first half of your feet.
